Video Wall Flypack w/Custom IO & Power Distribution
This custom video flypack was built for Sure Sound & Lighting as a central hub for video wall processing. The flypack features 3 monitors, triple wide patch sections, a slide out worksurface, a 14RU shock mount rack section and a custom IO panel and power distro.
3 monitor mount poles are provided. Each pole allows the monitor to slide up and down for user desired heights. A Chief articulating monitor arm is provided allowing users to pull the monitor towards them and or push it to the left or right during use. The monitors are stored in custom CNC cut foam compartments during transport. The mount arm assembly stays attached to the monitor during transport. The upright poles fold down to minimize lid height during transport.
3 patch sections are provided for general I/O to the main work surface. Each section is 2 spaces. 2 sections are angled while the center is horizontal for a brush panel. The slide out work surface is built from ¾” Baltic Birch plywood and finished with black textured coating. The surface is mounted on locking glides allowing it to be locked in place during use.
Below the work surface is a 14-space shock mounted rack section for general equipment storage. LM Tour Systems built a custom 4U hinged rack panel to handle the various Cat6 and SDI signals needed to drive the case and accompanying video wall and elements. Power is handled by a L14-30 2U rack mounted distro. The distro features a L14-30 input and a looped L14-30 output. The front panel features dual 20amp hydraulic breakers, a courtesy Edison duplex outlet with USB A & C charge ports and 4 True1 locking outlets. The back of the distro features 2 L5-20 tails for powering equipment in the case.
The case exterior is built from ½” plywood laminated with black ABS plastic. The case rides on 6 – 4” Colson casters (3 locking) and features 2 removable lids with deep recessed hardware.
