Square Register Portable Point Of Sale Work Station
This custom touring merchandise case was built for the Bubble Group. The fully integrated case is built around a Square Register point of sale system that includes a cash drawer, receipt printer, and a Dell Ultrasharp 32” monitor.
The case is designed to be an easily deployable system for merchandise sales at shows. The system is based around a Square Register point of sale system. The Square register is mounted to the main work surface of the case via custom marine grade plastic brackets. This allows the Register to remain very secure when being used by the cashier and customer. System components include a cash drawer mounted in a custom foam lined compartment and a receipt printer mounted on a slide out shelf.
4 HD drawers are included in the main body of the case. Each drawer is built from ½” Baltic Birch plywood, mounted on HD Accuride glides and finished with black textured coating. The drawers are designed to hold paper tape reels for the receipt printer and general accessory items.
The LM Cases Custom Integration department handled the installation of the electronic components. Custom looms were created to keep all the internal wiring as neat as possible. These looms included locking IEC power connectors and cut to length data connections for each device. A 32” Dell Ultrasharp monitor is mounted on the front of the case to display digital signage during use. The monitor is protected by a fold flat door mounted on 270-degree hinges.
Power is brought into the case via a custom inlet panel that features a Hubbell 5278C inlet. A RJ45 connector is also supplied on the panel to bring network data into the case.
The case exterior is built from ½” plywood laminated with dark blue ABS plastic. The case features a removable front and top lid with a fold flat lid on the front to protect the monitor. The case features deep recessed hardware and rides on 4” x 2” HD Colson casters.
