Triple Wide Video Flypack w/Articulating Monitor Arms
This custom video flypack was designed for House Right Production. The triple wide work station allows for video production while maintaining clean sight lines to the stage.
The case features 3 monitor mount positions. Each monitor is mounted on a folding upright pole. This allows the up & down height adjustment of each monitor while allowing the arms to be folded down during transport. The poles feature Chief K2W articulating arms that allow the monitors to positioned forward/back & left/right. The mounts also allow the monitors to spin into portrait or landscape positions. The arm assembly stays attached to the monitors during transport. The monitor/arm assembly slides into custom CNC cut foam compartments for transport. The monitor is held in a custom compartment that contours its shape, the mount is supported so that it will not strain the monitor mounts during transport. The center Multiview monitor is stored in the case lid. Its mount arm also stays attached during transport. Each monitor features a custom cable loom featuring power and HDMI. The client specified monitors had “line lump” transformers built into their power cables. The LM Cases Custom Integration Dept relocated them into the center distro compartment allowing clean looms to be run up to each monitor.
Below the rack section is a triple wide, 2U rack section for patch panels and local power distribution. The main 68.25” x 21.5” work surface is built from ¾” Baltic Birch plywood finished with black textured coating. The work surface is mounted on HD Accuride glides and features a remote multi-position latching system allowing the work surface to lock into place in 1” increments. A 1U rack section is provided for a ClearCom base station in the front of the slide out work station.
Below the work surface are 3 rack sections. Dual 11U rack sections are provided for general equipment storage. A horizontal 3U rack section is provided for a customer supplied 3 phase power distro. The rack sections feature rear trap doors with recessed vent dishes. A side mounted 3U patch panel is provided for the signal i/o of the case.
The case exterior is built from ½” plywood laminated with black ABS plastic. The front removable lid features HD steel table legs. The case rides on HD Colson 4” x 2” casters and features deep recessed hardware.
