Portable Entertainment Center Case w/16U Rack Section
This case is designed to be a portable entertainment system for tours, churches, and production companies. The case can be fully integrated by the LM Cases Custom Integration department or delivered empty for integration to be handled by the end user. The design allows for easy access to the monitor and equipment mounted in the rack section.
The video portion of the system is based around a 55” 4K Sony monitor. The monitor is mounted on an electric lift that can be operated by a rocker switch, or via a wireless remote control. A removable, vented ½” marine grade plastic divider is included to protect the monitor during transport.
Audio is 2.2 stereo system comprised of 2 KRK 8” 2-way studio grade monitors, and 2 KRK 10” studio grade subwoofers. System control and time alignment of the audio system is handled by a DBX processor.
Control and storage components are mounted in a 16U rack that features an 18.25” deep shell with rear rack rail. A custom-built control panel is provided to centralize common connections for the system. A aux HDMI and USB are included on the panel to provide easy access to the TV should additional video sources be required. A 3.5mm aux jack is provided for the sound system allowing users to use portable media players. A stereo audio output via transformer isolated XLR jacks is provided should users need to feed larger or additional sound systems. This stereo output is patched directly from the system processor allowing for a duplicated output of the case’s internal sound system. 5 USB A jacks are provided for device charging. In addition to the USB jacks, a front mounted AC duplex outlet is provided for courtesy power. This outlet can be configured with dual USB A jacks, dual USB C jacks, or a combination of A & C jacks. A HD switch is included to control the height of the monitor lift should wireless remote operation not be required. A Furman M8 power sequencer is installed to ensure that components are powered up and down in the correct order to avoid “popping” the speakers. Control for the power sequence is handled by a green HD Siemens 30mm button. Once the system power sequence is completed, a green 30mm light illuminates. The case includes a side mounted IO box with a recessed Hubbell 5278 inlet wired to an internal duplex outlet. This box also includes 2 D-Series punches allowing for additional I/O capabilities should the user require them. Shown in the picture is a 4U Penn Elcom rack drawer and a LM Tour Systems D1 power distribution unit.
The case exterior is built from 3/8” plywood laminated with black ABS plastic. The case rides on 6 Colson 4” casters and features deep recessed hardware. Exterior dims are 57” x 30” OD.
