University Of Nebraska Tape Trunk
This trunk was designed and built for the University Of Nebraska as a portable tape storage unit. The trunk features 4 drawers with 2 removable bins ea with dowels for tape storage. The front lid is removable and becomes a table.
The trunk interior features 4 drawers mounted on heavy duty Accuride glides. The drawers are mounted in a 1/2" plywood internal structure that is then slide into the trunk, this allows the drawers to operate independently from the exterior walls to prevent damage to the drawer glides during transportation. Each drawer feature 2 removable bins with 12 dowels each for tape storage; when fully loaded the trunk can hold 384 rolls of 2" tape. The 8 removable tape bins allow multiple athletic trainers to work on individual athletes at the same time.
The case exterior is built out of 1/2" plywood laminated with red ABS plastic. The exterior features a silkscreen of the "N" logo, deep recessed hardware, table legs mounted in the front lid and Colson 4" x 2" locking casters.
