Boeing Chooses LM Cases For NEC P401-AVT Monitor
This case was built for the trade show division of Boeing. Because of Boeing's demanding trade show schedule, they had special needs when it came to the durability and functionality of their case. In order to maximize their strength-to-weight ratio LM Cases employed our proprietary composite panels to allow Boeing's cases to not only be more impact resistant than plywood, but to also be 30% lighter.
In order to provide the greatest protection against shock and forklift damage LM designed two inner cases for the monitors, and an outer case to hold both. The inner cases were built out of 1/4" composite material and had 2" foam lining with custom foam blocks to pin the monitor. The outer case was built out of 3/8" composite and features 1" lined foam compartments for the inner cases. The bottoms of each compartment feature 2" blocks of dense PE foam with white HDPE plastic to allow for easy removal and loading of the inner cases. An intentional trough was created between the PE blocks as to not damage the inner case latches if they are left open. The outer case also features a 1/4" aluminum forklift guard around the bottom of the case.
Special thanks to Boeing for their continued support of LM Cases.
